A new furostanol glycoside and other two known compounds were isolated from the 70% EtOH extract of the rhizomes of Smilax scobinicaulis,which were identified as 26OβDglucopyranosyl(25R)furost5ene3β,17αdiol3OαLrhamnopyranoside,friedelin and stigmasterol by chemical and spectral methods such as IR,MS,1HNMR,13CNMR,HMQC and HMBC.
