By checking with inspectional more than 50 cultural heritages and thesises, the paper concludes and summarizes the meaning of environmental biology as well as its contents and object;explores its form and development;confirms its classification position and relation with the related course;feels its research methods;and finally puts forward its tendencies.

本文归纳和总结了环境生物学的含义及其研究内容和对象;探讨了环境生物学的形成与发展;确定了环境生物学的分类地位以及相关学科的关系;摸索了环境生物学的研究方法;提出了环境生物学的发展趋势。

─From the point of view on the forming procedure,the achievements and the developing trend of environmental biology, this paper deals with the study object and the characteristics of this subjuct as a branch of biology and environmental science,and discusses the connection and distinction between it and ecology.
