Network based data management (NDMP) is the key and advanced technology in the realm of network storage, On the discussing of the architecture, information flow and working mechanism of Network Data Management Protocol, this paper analyzes the shortage of the current NDMP, and therefore puts forward the prototype of myNDMP.
