东庄油田位于凹陷西南部,是在背斜构造背景上被一组与背斜长轴走向一致的南倾正断层切割的复杂断块油田;储集层以西北部的沙堰三角洲前缘砂体、粉细砂岩为主;“背斜构造控制油气聚集范围、砂体决定油气富集程度、断层起油气再分配和遮挡作用”是其主要成藏特征;油层埋藏深、厚度薄、含油层段集中,平面上主要分布在东庄背斜构造北翼,南翼分布比较零散,纵向上主要集中在核桃园组二段至三段;油藏类型以断鼻、断块为主。
